Families, Felines, and a Cleaner Beach
Published on September 2, 2024 by Pineapple Willy’s
On August 31st, 2024, a dedicated group of 120 individuals gathered at Pineapple Willy’s for a beach cleanup event that made a real difference in our community. The turnout was impressive, and the impact was even greater.
A Cleaner Beach for All
Volunteers spent their morning collecting trash, debris, and other pollutants that harm our marine environment. Their efforts paid off, leaving our beach cleaner and more beautiful than ever.
Supporting Furry Friends and Local Families
As promised, we donated $10 for every person who showed up, resulting in a total donation of $1,200 to Nine Lives Kitty Rescue. This organization works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats in need, providing a second chance at a happy life.
But that’s not all! Our friends at The Wicked Wheel matched our donation, contributing $1,200 to the Family Service Agency of Bay County. This organization is dedicated to providing a “hand up” to individuals and families in need, offering essential services to help them achieve stability and self-sufficiency. Their mission is to keep people fed, sheltered, and employed, treating each person with dignity and respect.
Thank You to Our Volunteers!
We’re grateful to each and every one of the 120 individuals who joined us for this beach cleanup event. Your dedication to protecting our environment and supporting local non-profits is truly inspiring. Together, we can create a brighter future for our community!
Let’s keep up the fantastic work and continue making a positive impact in Bay County!
