90 Volunteers Help Raise $1,800 for Salty Farm Ministries
Published on August 3, 2026
A little bad weather couldn’t stop our community from showing up for a good cause!
The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation’s Summer Beach Cleanup Series continued on Saturday, August 1, although Mother Nature had other plans for the morning. Weather conditions kept us from actually heading out onto the beach to clean, but that didn’t stop 90 volunteers from showing up to support Salty Farm Ministries.
Instead, everyone gathered inside for our weekly raffles and, most importantly, to present a donation to an organization doing meaningful work in our community.
Turning 90 Volunteers Into a $1,800 Donation
As part of the Summer Beach Cleanup Series, the Pineapple Willy’s Foundation typically donates $10 to the week’s featured nonprofit for every volunteer who participates.
With 90 people showing up Saturday morning, Salty Farm Ministries was set to receive a donation of $900.
But the Foundation decided to double it, presenting $1,800 to Salty Farm Ministries!
Even though we weren’t able to get out on the sand this week, the morning was still a great reminder that these cleanups are about more than picking up litter. They’re also about bringing people together and supporting organizations that make a difference throughout our community.
Supporting Salty Farm Ministries
Salty Farm Ministries serves individuals experiencing homelessness in our community with a mission centered around meeting basic needs, restoring dignity, bringing hope, empowering purpose, and cultivating community.
Through outreach efforts that include meals, mobile showers, clothing, resources, and other forms of support, their volunteers build relationships with people living on the streets while helping provide some of life’s most basic necessities.
The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation is proud to support Salty Farm Ministries and the work its volunteers are doing to serve our neighbors throughout the Panama City Beach and Bay County area.
Thank You for Showing Up—Rain or Shine!
We want to give an extra special thank you to all 90 people who showed up Saturday morning.
While we would have loved to spend the hour cleaning our shoreline, seeing so many people still come together despite the weather made the morning special in a different way.
We’d also like to thank all of our amazing raffle sponsors who continue to support the Summer Beach Cleanup Series. Their generosity helps make every Saturday morning a little more fun for our volunteers, and we encourage everyone to support the businesses that support our community!
Join Us Next Saturday
We’ll be back next Saturday at 8:30 a.m. for another Summer Beach Cleanup, this time benefiting The Arc of the Bay.
The Arc of the Bay has been serving our area since 1957, providing educational opportunities, training, services, and support for adults with disabilities. Its programs are designed to help individuals become as self-sufficient and independent as possible while providing opportunities to be active and valued members of our community.
We hope you’ll join us next Saturday as we get back out on the sand, help keep Panama City Beach beautiful, and raise money for another deserving local organization.
Thank you again to everyone who showed up on August 1. The weather may have kept us off the beach, but it certainly didn’t keep our community from making a difference.
Together, 90 volunteers helped inspire a $1,800 donation to Salty Farm Ministries!
We’ll see you next Saturday at 8:30 a.m.!
