92 Volunteers Help Raise $2,000 for Arc of the Bay

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation‘s Summer Beach Cleanup Series continued this past Saturday with another great turnout as 92 volunteers came together to help keep Panama City Beach beautiful while supporting Arc of the Bay.

As part of the Foundation’s commitment to giving back to our community, $10 is typically donated to the week’s featured nonprofit for every volunteer who participates in the cleanup. With 92 volunteers joining us, Arc of the Bay was set to receive a donation of $920.

But the Pineapple Willy’s Foundation decided to take it a little further.

The Foundation rounded the turnout up to 100 volunteers—and then doubled it—presenting Arc of the Bay with a $2,000 donation!

Since 1957, Arc of the Bay has provided support and opportunities for people with disabilities throughout our area. The organization works to help individuals become as self-sufficient and independent as possible while providing opportunities to participate in meaningful activities within our community.

Through programs including adult day training and employment services, Arc of the Bay helps individuals develop life and vocational skills, find opportunities for employment, and become more active and engaged members of the community.

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation is proud to support an organization that has spent decades making a difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout Bay County.

Week after week, our volunteers continue to prove that giving just one hour on a Saturday morning can have a much bigger impact.

Every person who joins us helps remove litter from our shoreline and protect the beach we all love. At the same time, their participation helps generate financial support for organizations doing important work right here in our community.

Thank you to all 92 volunteers who joined us this week and helped turn a morning of cleaning the beach into a $2,000 donation to Arc of the Bay!

We’ll be back on the beach next Saturday at 8:30 a.m. for another cleanup, this time benefiting the Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida.

The Early Learning Coalition works to ensure children throughout Northwest Florida have access to quality early education and care while providing valuable resources and support for local families. Its programs include Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK), School Readiness child care assistance, child care resource and referral services, developmental screenings, and other programs designed to help children get the best possible start in life.

Their vision is a Northwest Florida where children receive high-quality early education and enter kindergarten fully prepared to learn and succeed.

Whether you’re a local resident or visiting Panama City Beach, we’d love to have you join us for an hour of cleaning our beautiful shoreline and supporting another organization making a difference in our community.
