75 Volunteers Help Raise $2,500 for BASIC NWFL
Published on July 6, 2026
The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation’s Summer Beach Cleanup Series continued on Saturday with another morning of giving back to both our beaches and our community. A total of 75 volunteers came together to help clean the shoreline, demonstrating once again that even a single hour of service can make a lasting impact.
As part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting local nonprofit organizations, $10 is donated for every volunteer who participates in each weekly cleanup. With 75 volunteers joining us, BASIC NWFL was set to receive a donation of $750.
But this week was extra special.
In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, the Pineapple Willy’s Foundation increased the donation to $2,500, providing additional support for BASIC NWFL and its mission of improving the health and well-being of our community through HIV prevention, education, testing, treatment resources, and compassionate support services.
Celebrating America by Giving Back
America’s 250th birthday is an opportunity to celebrate not only our nation’s history but also the spirit of service and generosity that strengthens communities across the country.
The Foundation felt there was no better way to honor this milestone than by making a larger investment in a local organization that works every day to improve lives throughout Northwest Florida.
Every Cleanup Creates Lasting Impact
Each Saturday, volunteers help accomplish two important goals at once: preserving the natural beauty of Panama City Beach and generating meaningful support for local nonprofit organizations.
Whether you’re picking up litter, meeting new friends, or simply giving back to the place we all love, every volunteer plays a part in making our community cleaner, healthier, and stronger.
Thank You to Our Raffle Sponsors
We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible raffle sponsors. Their generosity helps make each cleanup even more rewarding for our volunteers, and we encourage everyone to support the local businesses that continue to invest in our community.
Join Us Next Saturday
The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation Summer Beach Cleanup Series continues every Saturday through September 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Next Saturday’s cleanup will benefit Athletics 4 All, an organization dedicated to providing inclusive athletic and recreational opportunities for children and individuals of all abilities. Their programs help ensure that everyone has the chance to experience the joy of sports, build confidence, and create lasting friendships in a supportive environment.
Whether you’re a local resident or visiting Panama City Beach, we invite you to spend one hour with us making a difference. Together, we’re protecting our beaches while supporting organizations that make Bay County an even better place to live.
Thank you to all 75 volunteers who joined us this past Saturday. Because of your support—and the Pineapple Willy’s Foundation’s special $2,500 donation in honor of America’s 250th birthday—BASIC NWFL will be able to continue providing vital services to those who need them most.
We’ll see you next Saturday morning!
