$1,800 for Emerald and Forgotten Coast Adventures

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation’s Summer Beach Cleanup Series continued on Saturday, July 18, with another incredible morning of giving back. 90 volunteers joined us to help clean the shoreline while supporting Emerald and Forgotten Coast Adventures.

As part of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting local nonprofit organizations, $10 is donated to the week’s featured organization for every volunteer who participates. With 90 people joining us this Saturday, Emerald and Forgotten Coast Adventures was set to receive a donation of $900.

But the Pineapple Willy’s Foundation decided to double the impact, presenting the organization with a total donation of $1,800!

Emerald & Forgotten Coast Adventures provides hands-on opportunities for students, residents, and visitors to learn about the unique history and marine ecology of the Florida Panhandle.

Through immersive educational experiences and field adventures, the organization brings learning outside of the classroom and gives participants an opportunity to experience our local environment firsthand. From exploring coastal dune lakes and seagrass beds to learning about the Gulf of Mexico and the history of our coastal communities, their programs are designed to spark curiosity and build a deeper appreciation for what makes our area so special.

Their mission is to combine memorable experiences with education to help empower the next generation of environmental stewards. By connecting people with the natural environment and history of the Emerald and Forgotten Coasts, they hope to inspire a lifelong passion for conservation and preservation.

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation is proud to support an organization that is helping educate our community while encouraging future generations to protect and preserve the incredible natural resources we are fortunate to have here in Northwest Florida.

Week after week, our Summer Beach Cleanup volunteers continue to show just how much can be accomplished when a community comes together.

Every person who spends an hour cleaning the beach helps protect our shoreline, wildlife, and the natural beauty that makes Panama City Beach such a special place. At the same time, each volunteer helps generate financial support for another local nonprofit doing important work throughout our community.

Thank you to all 90 volunteers who gave their time this Saturday and helped make this week’s cleanup another success!

Their generosity allows us to offer some great prizes to our volunteers each week and helps make Saturday mornings even more fun. We encourage everyone to support the local businesses that continue to support our community!

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation Summer Beach Cleanup Series continues every Saturday through September 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Next Saturday’s cleanup will benefit Rachel’s Bags of Love, an organization dedicated to providing comfort and support to children in need through thoughtfully prepared bags filled with essential and comforting items.
