80 Volunteers Help Raise $1,800 for Rachel’s Bags of Love

Published on July 27, 2026

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation’s Summer Beach Cleanup Series continued on Saturday, July 25, with another great morning of giving back to our beach and our community. This week, 80 volunteers joined us to help clean the shoreline while supporting Rachel’s Bags of Love.

As part of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting local nonprofit organizations, $10 is typically donated to the week’s featured organization for every volunteer who participates. With 80 people joining us, Rachel’s Bags of Love was set to receive a donation of $800.

But the Pineapple Willy’s Foundation decided those 80 volunteers deserved a little extra credit! The Foundation rounded the turnout up to 90, then doubled the donation, presenting $1,800 to Rachel’s Bags of Love!

Supporting Families Facing Childhood Cancer

Rachel’s Bags of Love began after a local family experienced firsthand the challenges that come with having a child hospitalized while fighting cancer. The organization provides bags filled with essential items and comforts to help families during extended hospital stays.

What started as an effort to help families feel a little more supported during an incredibly difficult time has grown into an organization that has delivered more than 1,200 bags to hospitals across the South. Rachel’s Bags of Love also advocates for childhood cancer awareness and raises money to help fund childhood cancer research.

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation is proud to support an organization born right here in our community that continues to bring comfort and hope to children and families when they need it most.

One Hour, Two Ways to Give Back

Every Saturday morning, our volunteers have an opportunity to make a difference in two important ways.

For one hour, they help remove litter from our shoreline and protect the natural beauty that makes Panama City Beach such a special place. At the same time, their participation generates financial support for nonprofit organizations doing important work throughout our community.

Thank you to all 80 volunteers who spent their Saturday morning with us and helped make another cleanup a success!

Thank You to Our Raffle Sponsors

We’d also like to thank our amazing raffle sponsors for continuing to support the Summer Beach Cleanup Series. Their generosity gives us an opportunity to reward some of the people who get up early and spend their Saturday mornings helping keep our beaches beautiful.

Be sure to show some love to the local businesses that help make these events possible!

Join Us Next Saturday

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation Summer Beach Cleanup Series continues next Saturday at 8:30 a.m., when we’ll gather once again for an hour of cleaning our beautiful beach and giving back to our community.

Next week’s cleanup will benefit Salty Farm Ministries, a local organization serving veterans and others experiencing homelessness in our community. Through its street outreach, Salty Farm Ministries works to meet basic needs while restoring dignity, bringing hope, empowering purpose, and creating a sense of community. Their efforts include providing meals, mobile showers, clothing, resources, and compassionate support to people living on the streets.

Whether you’re a Panama City Beach local, visiting on vacation, or simply looking for a way to give back, we’d love to have you join us.

Thank you again to all 80 volunteers who participated on July 25. Your efforts helped clean our beach and inspired the Pineapple Willy’s Foundation to donate $1,800 to Rachel’s Bags of Love.

We’ll see you on the beach next Saturday at 8:30 a.m.!
