Anchorage Children’s Home Receives $11,010 Donation

Published on June 13, 2026

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation’s Summer Beach Cleanup Series continued this Saturday with another incredible show of community support as 101 volunteers gathered to help keep Panama City Beach beautiful.

As part of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting local nonprofit organizations, $10 is donated for every volunteer who participates in the weekly cleanups. Thanks to this week’s outstanding turnout, the Foundation presented a donation of $1,010 to Anchorage Children’s Home.

But the morning’s impact didn’t stop there.

After learning more about Anchorage Children’s Home’s SNAP (Stop Now And Plan) program and the positive difference it is making for children and families throughout our community, the Pineapple Willy’s Foundation was inspired to make an additional contribution of $10,000 specifically designated to support the program.

In total, Anchorage Children’s Home received $11,010 from this week’s Summer Beach Cleanup event.

Supporting Children, Families, and Brighter Futures

For decades, Anchorage Children’s Home has served vulnerable children and families throughout our region by providing a safe, nurturing environment and access to resources that help young people thrive.

One program that particularly resonated with the Foundation is SNAP (Stop Now And Plan), an evidence-based program designed to help children develop self-control, problem-solving skills, and positive decision-making habits. By teaching children how to stop, think, and make better choices when faced with challenges, SNAP helps build stronger families and healthier communities.

Programs like SNAP not only impact the lives of individual children but also create long-term benefits for schools, families, and our community as a whole.

A Community That Continues to Show Up

The success of this week’s cleanup is a testament to the generosity and spirit of our community. From local families and residents to visitors spending their vacation in Panama City Beach, volunteers continue to demonstrate that protecting our beaches and supporting local nonprofits can go hand in hand.

Every piece of litter removed from our shoreline helps preserve the natural beauty that makes Panama City Beach special. At the same time, every volunteer who joins us helps generate meaningful support for organizations making a difference in the lives of others.

With 101 participants this week, up from 81 volunteers at our first cleanup of the summer, the momentum continues to grow.
