170 Volunteers Help Raise $3,400 for Toys for Kids

Published on September 7, 2026

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation’s Summer Beach Cleanup Series had its biggest turnout of the season this past Saturday, as an incredible 170 volunteers came together to help keep Panama City Beach beautiful while supporting the Toys for Kids Foundation.

Our previous record for the summer was 136 volunteers, making this week’s turnout an exciting new milestone as we head into the final cleanup of the season.

As part of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting local nonprofit organizations, $10 is typically donated to the week’s featured organization for every volunteer who participates. With 170 people joining us Saturday morning, Toys for Kids was set to receive a donation of $1,700.

But the Pineapple Willy’s Foundation decided to double the impact, presenting the Toys for Kids Foundation with a total donation of $3,400!

Supporting Local Kids Through Toys for Kids

The Toys for Kids Foundation is a Bay County nonprofit dedicated to helping local families with children in need.

For more than two decades, the organization has brought together local businesses, volunteers, sponsors, and community organizations to make sure children throughout Bay County have something special to look forward to during the Christmas season.

The Pineapple Willy’s Foundation is proud to support an organization that keeps its efforts focused right here at home, helping local children and families when they need it most.

A Record-Breaking Saturday

Seeing 170 volunteers gathered on the beach Saturday morning was an incredible way to begin wrapping up this year’s Summer Beach Cleanup Series.

All summer long, locals and visitors have spent an hour of their Saturday mornings helping remove litter from our shoreline. In return, their participation has helped generate thousands of dollars in donations for organizations making a difference throughout our community.

This week’s turnout was our largest yet, and every one of those 170 volunteers played a part in turning a cleaner beach into a $3,400 donation for Toys for Kids.

Thank you to everyone who showed up!

Thank You to Our Raffle Sponsors

We’d also like to give another big thank you to the amazing raffle sponsors who have supported us throughout this year’s Summer Beach Cleanup Series.

Their generosity has helped make every Saturday morning a little more fun for our volunteers, and we’re incredibly grateful to the local businesses and organizations that continue to support these events.

Be sure to support the businesses that support our community!

One More Cleanup!

It’s hard to believe, but we’ve reached the final week of this year’s Summer Beach Cleanup Series.

Join us next Saturday, September 12, at 8:30 a.m. for our final beach cleanup of the season, benefiting Patronis Elementary School.

This final cleanup is another opportunity to spend an hour taking care of the beach we all love while supporting students and educators right here in our local community.

After an incredible summer of cleaner beaches, generous donations, and hundreds of volunteers giving their time, we’d love to finish the season with another great turnout.

Thank you again to all 170 volunteers who joined us this past Saturday and helped make it our biggest cleanup of the year. Together, you helped clean our beach and inspired a $3,400 donation to the Toys for Kids Foundation!

We’ll see you on the beach one more time next Saturday at 8:30 a.m.!
